Is the Death Date Correct?

[edit]

NEVER MIND - it was just the *announcement*.

THere are news stories all over the place saying she died TODAY - January 9, 2025 FlaviaR (talk) 23:15, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Lots of low quality news out there. NYT now makes it clear she died back on Dec. 16. --Bobak (talk) 03:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
She died only today January 10, 2025 and not in December 2024 65.95.187.28 (talk) 19:26, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Anti-gay activist

[edit]

Sorry but that is an insult! 2001:9E8:107C:3D00:E121:ED94:9FB:9542 (talk) 06:33, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It's a fair, NPOV description of her life's work. Unfortunately, it has since been revised to something quite misleading and not meeting Wikipedia's NPOV standards. 69.251.186.233 (talk) 10:21, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@2001:9E8:107C:3D00:E121:ED94:9FB:9542 ok? 195.252.226.196 (talk) 23:19, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, Anita Bryant, queen of the Pyrrhic victory. Jaydenwithay (talk) 22:32, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Bryant the victim... great framing Wikipedia

[edit]

it really is a broken "encyclopedia". Wealthy celebrity Anita Bryant, victim when she just tried to express her free speech rights. Wiltonhall (talk) 05:26, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

"Christian activist"?

[edit]

I don't think this is an WP:NPOV compatible description of her, because it implies that being a Christian activist is synonymous with being an opponent of gay rights. Can we change this back to "anti-gay rights activist"? Zoozoor (talk) 07:02, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
